I first learned about this hike a few weeks ago. My family and a few friends had planned on participating in Kids to Parks Day 2016 with a trip to the White Mountains. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, we cancelled the trip. I was unable to hike that day, but my wife planned a local hike for our group.
Going through the photos from the day, I decided that I needed to make the trip to Lake Solitude also. One Saturday morning I found myself with a couple of hours to kill and I decided that a trip up Andrew Brook Trail was perfect. I hope to hike the trail again, this time visiting both Lake Solitude and the summit of Mt. Sunapee.

- Ibex W2 Sport Tank and Hooded Indie
- I started my hike in shorts and the just the W2 Tank, but soon realized that the bugs were going to drive me crazy. Within the first mile I added the legs to my convertible hiking pants and put on my Hooded Indie, both of which were treated with permethrin.
- The W2 was soaked with sweat by the time I reach the summit, but the front dried out before I was back at the trailhead. The W2 did not stink after this hike and was worn several more times before being washed.

- HOKA One One Tor Summit Mid WP Hiking Boot
- When I want waterproof boots or extra ankle protection, these boots have become my go-to over the last few months. They’ve held up well to hiking as well as everyday use. I will post a full review soon.
