Snowshoeing and Winter Hiking, 2017-18

posted in: Snowshoeing, Winter Hiking

I am excited to announce that I will be serving as a Tubbs Ambassador for the 2017-18 season! I am looking forward to planning my own trips (tbd), as well as helping out with some snowshoeing events at Okemo Mountain Resort (Ludlow, VT). As my trips are planned, I’ll post the updates here. This is what’s planned so far:

  • Dec 8: Guided Snowshoe Tour for Okemo’s Media Weekend
  • Dec 9: Naturalist Joe Karl leads a guided snowshoe tour up the mountain, offering a beautiful nighttime perspective of Okemo’s Jackson Gore
  • Dec 27: Watch Okemo’s Torchlight Parade Fireworks display after a guided snowshoe tour
  • Feb 17 : Watch Okemo’s Torchlight Parade Fireworks display after a guided snowshoe tour

Tubbs Snowshoes is providing equipment for the Dec 8, 9 and Dec 27 events at Okemo. These events will also be attended by several Tubbs Ambassadors, including myself. If you’ve never been snowshoeing and will be in the Ludlow area, I’d recommend coming by Okemo to give it a try. Snowshoeing is a great way to stay active during the winter and I highly recommend it. Here are some of my favorite snowshoeing memories/photos:
