Devil Half Acre Pond via Great Brook Trail – New London, NH (June 23, 2016)

The Great Brook Trail follows the course of Great Brook and offers views of water cascading down steep ledge in two locations, which are particularly impressive with increased water flows in the spring.   A beaver dam is located at the top of the trail at Devils Half Acre Pond.

We jumped onto Great Brook Trail at the Pingree parking area, in the hopes of seeing the cascades described above. I hope to return in the spring (after mud season) to see the cascades when there is more water. Great Brook Trail is New London Conservation Commission Trail #8.
